Veggies, vases, and volcanoes

We started this letter off by talking about vegetables. We did some vegetable stamping with peppers, broccoli, carrots, and green beans.
Lynlee and Calvin really liked using their peppers, Max was partial to the broccoli, and by the end of this activity Jessa's paper had a bunch of little green bean dots.

Then they picked out pictures of vegetables and glued them inside a letter V.

Next we did some vegetable taste-testing. Peppers, carrots, broccoli, and peas were on the menu!

They put some flowers in a V vase complete with stems and leaves.

We watched a couple of short videos about volcanoes so we could see how they erupt before the kiddos made their own out of construction paper and glue.

They then got to make their very own volcanoes erupt! Each kid got a jar with baking soda and red sprinkles in it. We took them out on the grass and some vinegar was poured into each of them so we could see the eruptions take place. So fun!
